Pam's Salsa
- Roma Tomatoes (about 10-15)
- White onion (about half of a medium)
- V-8 (about 2 cups)
- Fresh Basil (about 3 tbsp finely chopped)
- Fresh Oregano (about 3 tbsp finely chopped)
- Fresh Chives (about 3 tbsp finely chopped)
- Fresh Cilantro (one bunch finely chopped)
- Cumin - 1 Tbsp
- Chile Powder - 1 Tbsp
- Salt 1 tsp
- Pepper 1 tsp
- Nature's Seasoning - 1 tsp
- Green onions 2
- Green Chile pureed
- Jalapeņos pureed
All the ingredients are approximate. Usually go by smell.
The green Chile and Jalapeņos are in amounts as you desire,
less for mild and more for hot.
Keep in mind the favor from the chilies takes a couple hours
after the salsa is made to reach its potential.
(So it may get hotter after it sits a couple hours).
